About Nuvida Wellness

Hi, I’m Yvonne — and I’m so glad you’re here.

I run on protein, plants, and Jesus. Nutritious food is my jam. Lifting heavy weights and movement are my therapy. The beach is my happy place. At home, there’s a rescue pup and a Congo African Grey parrot, who keep things interesting!

My Story

I’m Yvonne Hart, founder of NuVida Wellness. My work is shaped by both clinical training and lived experience, by learning firsthand what it feels like to struggle in your body, to feel dismissed by conventional care, and to search for answers that go beyond “everything looks normal.”

How This Work Became Personal

My path into this work began with my own health journey.

During my fertility and postpartum years, I experienced significant anxiety, fatigue, and physical pain, despite being told my labs were “normal.” Trusting my intuition, I sought integrative care and eventually received a diagnosis of hypothyroidism. Years later, after ongoing unexplained symptoms, I was also diagnosed with POTS.

Learning how to support my body through targeted nutrition and intentional lifestyle changes reshaped my relationship with my health—not through quick fixes, but through steady, sustainable progress.

Not long after, my son began experiencing seizures and worsening neurological symptoms. After advocating for deeper evaluation and pursuing specialized testing, he was diagnosed with a rare, degenerative mitochondrial disease.

Working alongside a functional pediatric neurologist and his team, we implemented meaningful dietary changes and targeted supplementation. Over time, I began to see how intentional nutrition could support neurological function and quality of life.

Training That Followed the Journey

My personal experiences led me to pursue clinical training so I could better understand the systems at play and help other women navigate similar challenges with clarity and support.

I bring both academic training and hands-on clinical experience to my work. My background includes:

  • Bachelor of Science in Biology
    Arizona State University

  • Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach
Completed Integrative Health & Wellness Coaching training at Duke Integrative Medicine; certified by the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching (NBC-HWC).

  • Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition
Sonoran University of Health Sciences, Dean’s List Honoree. Completed over 1,000 hours of supervised clinical nutrition experience and passed a national board exam.

  • Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS)
Credentialed by the Board of Certified Nutrition Specialists (BCNS). I currently practice under licensed supervision while completing licensure requirements in North Carolina, in accordance with state regulations and my Clinical Nutrition Specialist (CNS) scope of practice.

Why I Do This Work

As women, many of us care for children, aging parents, careers, and communities, often while quietly placing our own health last. I believe women deserve support that honors both the complexity of their bodies and the realities of their lives.

My work is rooted in empathy, education, and practicality. I help women understand why their symptoms are happening and guide them toward realistic, personalized strategies that support energy, stability, and long-term health.

My faith grounds this work. It reminds me that our bodies are not problems to be fixed, but systems to be supported—with patience, curiosity, and care.
